About This Programme

On August 31, 2025, members from the MEXT Scholars Association (MSA) team were honored to participate in the "Children Meet Countries" (CMC) NGO event in Tokyo. This heartwarming and inspiring event, expertly organized by CMC, was focused on fostering deep cultural exchange and community spirit.

Our dedicated MSA team members — a diverse group of international students and alumni brought to Japan from around the world on the prestigious MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship — facilitated a vibrant cultural exchange activity. They shared vivid insights and stories about their home countries directly with Japanese children and their families.

Attendees were given a global tour from the comfort of Tokyo, learning firsthand about the diverse cultures, food, and traditions from MSA members. Furthermore, our members shared their personal experiences as foreigners living in Japan, offering a unique and valuable perspective on cross-cultural understanding.

The gathering, which brought together children, parents, and even esteemed counselors from various embassies, truly highlighted the profound impact of community engagement. The event was a wonderful step toward building a more inclusive and connected world.
