Next Generation Forum Concludes with Visionary Proposals for Japan-Taiwan-ASEAN Future

The 4th Japan-Taiwan ASEAN Next Generation Forum brought together students from diverse nationalities to address critical regional issues and develop innovative solutions. Members from MSA were also invited and attended this event.

The forum provided a unique platform for participants to deepen their understanding of regional dynamics through embassy visits, insightful talks from leaders across the civil, private, and public sectors, and collaborative group work to develop policy proposals.

A highlight of the forum was the idea plan contest, held at the International Conference Hall of the House of Representatives Building. The winning team received a sponsored trip to the 9th ASEAN Council Forum, an opportunity to further engage with regional thought leaders.

A central theme of discussion throughout the forum was: "What is your vision for the relationship between Japan, Taiwan, and ASEAN in 2040? What kinds of goods, services, and policies will be necessary to realize this vision? In addition, what should we do to achieve this?" Participants presented a range of forward-thinking ideas, emphasizing collaboration and shared prosperity for the region's future.
