On April 20th, 2019, the MSA Kansai team organized a Spring Welcome Party by hosting a lunch picnic at the famous Kamogawa river. The hosts of the event were Frank and Daniel and they came early in the morning to secure the coveted spot on the delta where many other students gather to have a good time. We were surprised that so many folks came to our event and everyone enjoyed a lot of sunshine and being outdoors with one another. During the picnic a few ice-breaking games took place to bring students together, amazing(ly wrapped) gifts were given and a raffle took place with old Japanese items provided by Chika, the head of MSA Kansai. The most important part of the event was an exchange of information about life in Japan. Anirban, Chika, Frank and Daniel shared their experiences about living smart in Japan as well as about career opportunities. The atmosphere of the event was fantastic, just as the weather. Everyone had a lot of fun and is looking forward to a next event.

We had people from countries from all over the world such as Hungary, Azerbaijan, Solomon Islands, Guinea, Fiji, India, Poland, United States, Turkey, Switzerland, Japan, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, Vietnam, Jamaica, Libya, and Mali. We had a great time getting to know each other and sharing stories.
